Prevention of forklift fire
The combustibles (diesel, lubricating oil, rubber products, etc) on the forklift truck encounter a fire source
(such as electric welding, gas cutting, smoking, wire aging and electric sparks caused by poor line contact) in the air and cause combustion.
Prevention of forklift fire:
1. When filling fuel, the engine must be turned off and smoking is prohibited;
2. Matches, lighters and other open flames are not allowed to be used for lighting during forklift maintenance
3. When conducting electric welding and gas cutting operations on forklifts, the fuel oil shall be removed or protected according to the specific situation,
and the oil stains at the welding joints and nearby shall be removed, and necessary fire extinguishers shall be provided nearby;
4. Do not arbitrarily increase the specification of the fuse or replace the fuse with other metal wires
5. Do not use the method of short circuit to draw the fire test line or check the voltage of the battery
6. Timely eliminate fuel leakage, aging and skin damage of wires (including charging wires), as well as squeezing and friction caused by loose fixation of wires
Rescue in case of forklift fire:
In case of forklift fire, first ensure personal safety. The forklift shall be driven to a safe open place as soon as possible, the engine shall be turned off,
the main power switch shall be turned off, the shutters shall be closed, and the dry powder fire extinguisher shall be used to extinguish the fire,
or the sand and water soaked sack clothes can be used to cover the fire.
